STRIDE is an agency under the Malaysian Ministry of Defense whose role is to dignify national defense R&D and provide technical support to ATM.

Thus, our trust as civil servants is to provide service to the community and country with full sincerity, dedication and integrity.

For that, STRIDE needs to always be ready to change from the aspect of project implementation method by taking into account the synergy with the local industry and universities as outsourced research partners for some projects. In order to realize this wish, STRIDE needs to explore the research ecosystem supported by government policy from the aspect of technology determination (focus area), the involvement of close cooperation between stakeholders (ATM), research institutions and local defense industry players.
STRIDE also needs to provide a roadmap and action plan as well as an implementation timeline for the short, medium and long term. In line with that, STRIDE is working to finalize the Defense R&D Roadmap (2025-2050) which is in line with the actual needs and meets the strategic direction of ATM and other national defense and security sectors. Next, help the country, especially the defense industry, towards self-reliance with planned commercialization of products and reduce dependence on foreign technology, services and expertise.

In the end, all stakeholders will see STRIDE as an agency that is highly regarded and a source of pride for all, as well as being an agency that cannot be ignored in any matter involving expertise, for example specification development, FAT/PDI, technical advisory services, ICP programs and so on.

And every small step taken by every one of STRIDE's people will bring big change and impact to the organization in particular and the country in general.

He emphasized the importance of growth mindset, which is a concept introduced by psychologist Carol Dweck. Nadella emphasizes the difference between growth mindset and fixed mindset, where individuals often see their skills as static.

Under his leadership, Microsoft has moved from a "know-it-all" culture to a "learn-it-all" culture. This shift has encouraged continuous learning and feedback among employees, making upskilling a priority. It is hoped that STRIDE citizens will be able to practice this culture, not only as a civil servant, but in their daily life as a normal human being as well.
